Leroy Merlin in Sintra invests in energy production for self-consumption
In partnership with Helexia, Leroy Merlin in Sintra has a photovoltaic plant to produce renewable energy for self-consumption.
The solar carport photovoltaic plant has an output of 494 KWp and produces 729 MWh of clean energy per year.
This commitment to sustainability allows Leroy Merlin Sintra to avoid emitting 342 tons of CO2/year, which is the equivalent of planting around 8780 trees every year.
The Sintra store also has charging stations for electric vehicles.

The benefits of the partnership with Helexia are many: reduced energy consumption and dependence on the grid, stable energy prices throughout the term of the contract and below market values, making Leroy Merlin more competitive.
The solar carport installation allows the store's customers' vehicles to be protected and shaded, while producing a large part of the energy needed for their daily activity,
Helexia's participation in this partnership
Helexia invested fully in this project for a 15-year partnership.
In addition to the design and implementation of the center, Helexia's total investment has enabled this major retail player to continue making strategic investments in its business and expansion.
