Solar self-consumption produces 288MWh/year of clean energy at Pingo Doce in Guifões
In partnership with Helexia, Pingo Doce de Guifões has installed a self-consumption photovoltaic plant on the roof of the building, with a capacity of 210 kWp capable of producing 288MWh of energy per year.
In all, 286 panels have been installed, making Pingo Doce de Guifões able to produce part of its energy.
How Pingo Doce in Guifões benefits from solar energy
This project with Helexia allows Pingo Doce de Guifões to produce clean, renewable energy, thus avoiding around 135 tons of CO2 per year, the equivalent of planting 3470 trees per year.
The main benefits of this partnership are reduced energy bill costs, less dependence on the grid and a smaller carbon footprint. In addition to these advantages, another major benefit is the increase in value of the property.
Helexia was present throughout the entire value chain of this project, from design, development and implementation, to the investment of around €180,000 for a 15-year contract. This allows Pingo Doce de Guifões to maintain strategic investments in its core business and enjoy a stable and competitive energy price throughout the duration of the contract.
This project enjoys premium plant maintenance, guaranteeing the best solar energy production ratios.
